7 Tips To Crack Job Interview
1. Research about the company
A decent understanding of the company and its business will always give you an edge when the interviewer compares you with other candidates. So, learn about the organization, understand the business's basics, and think about how you can contribute to it being in your role. Not knowing the company will project the lack of preparation and sincerity from your end in the interview.
2. Know your interviewer
In some cases where the candidate is aware of the interviewer's details, it is always helpful to be familiar with them. You can look for them on LinkedIn and check more information or check if you have anything common with them. It can help you to make a good rapport with the interviewer.
3. First Impression
Making your first impression is not just about your appearance. Though being well dressed is an important aspect required to crack an interview, there are other things such as being punctual, calm, and confident that add to your first impression and work in your favor. Also, an understanding of the job description basis on which you applied for the job is needed.
4. Interesting answers
to routine questions Prepare interesting answers for routine questions to get noticed and make the recruiter/interviewer remember you. For example, "Could you tell us something about yourself" has been asked to almost every candidate, and most of them repeat their cv in their response. Instead of giving the same response, tell them about your individual aspects that make you suitable for that job.
5. Conversation, not interrogation
Responses as only "yes" or "no" show a lack of confidence and do not tell the interviewer anything about you. Hence, try to make the process a conversation rather than just a question-answer round. For example, if you are asked about any skill that you have mentioned in your resume, explain to them how did you acquire it and how you can use it in the role you are interviewing for.
6. Concluding Interview
Concluding the interview is as crucial as going through it. Few tips to conclude the interview are-• Thank the interviewer/recruiter for inviting you for the interview • Ask for feedback irrespective of selection or rejection (it will show your positive attitude and interest in improving yourself). • You may share a thank you note after the interview with the recruiter. • Avoid following up with the recruiter every oth
day for the result.
